The environmental sustainability of websites and webshops is becoming increasingly important as we spend more time and money on the worldwide web. Our climate and environmental criteria ask the biggest online brands such as Google and Amazon to use renewable energy with efficient datacenters. For the webshops, we ask brands to reduce their carbon footprint from shipping packages and to use cardboard boxes from sustainable sources such as recycled or FSC certified origin. Furthermore, we ask online retailers to increase the share of their sustainable assortment, and to implement good labour practices in the distribution centers and packages delivery sector.
